Our story

Astra Fund Holland BV was founded in Aalsmeer in 1994, when our first generation of buyers walked the auction floor with a single goal: to source Dutch flowers without compromise, and to deliver them to professional buyers anywhere in the world.

Three decades later, the floor has gone digital and our reach now spans 50+ countries — but the discipline is unchanged. Every working morning, our buyers are at Aalsmeer, Rijnsburg and Naaldwijk, selecting against the specifications our customers send the night before.

We supply florists, retail chains, importers and event specialists. We do not supply consumers. Everything we do — packing standards, cool chain, claims handling — is built around professional buyers who need consistency and accountability, not novelty.

Our auction partners

Royal FloraHolland

Aalsmeer

The world's largest flower auction and our home base. The vast majority of premium cut flowers and pot plants pass through here every working morning.

Royal FloraHolland

Rijnsburg

A specialist hub for high-grade summer flowers, peonies and seasonal Dutch novelties. Our buyers travel here for everything Aalsmeer doesn't carry in depth.

Royal FloraHolland

Naaldwijk

South Holland's auction floor, especially strong on year-round greenhouse stock — gerbera, anthurium, lisianthus and pot phalaenopsis.
